Prasad Hospital traces its origins to 1990, when Dr. Avinash Annaji Naik completed his M.D. and began full-fledged hospital practice for the Athani community. Formally incorporated in July 2021, the hospital has grown into one of the region's most trusted multi-specialty centres — managed by qualified specialist doctors across every department.
Located at 1954/B, Miraj Road, opposite Vidya Nagar, our facility is the only hospital in the taluk accredited under the NABH Entry Level Small Healthcare Organisation programme and certified to ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards.

Dr. Avinash Naik (KMC Reg 25628) opens hospital practice in Athani after completing M.D. General Medicine from Karnataka University, K.M.C. Hubli — the first M.D. physician to set up resident hospital care in the taluk.

Prasad Hospital was the very first hospital in Athani taluk to offer dedicated ICU services for critically ill patients.
First to provide ventilator facility to Athani
Brought the first mechanical ventilator to Athani, saving countless lives that would otherwise have required transfer to distant cities.
First Echo with Colour Doppler in peripheral Belagavi District
Brought non-invasive cardiac imaging — ECG, 2D Echo, Colour Doppler — to a region where it was previously unavailable.
First Stress and Strain Study in this part of Karnataka
Pioneered advanced cardiac stress and strain echocardiography in the entire region, bringing tertiary-level diagnostics to Athani patients.
